About Bazi Method

A free, privacy-respecting Four Pillars calculator with guides that cite their sources.

Bazi Method is an independent website. We built it because most Bazi calculators in English either hide how they compute a chart or surround it with claims they cannot support. We wanted the opposite: a calculator that shows every step, and guides that quote the classical Chinese texts so readers can check what the tradition actually says.

Our principles

  • Show the working. Every chart displays its time-zone, longitude and equation-of-time corrections and the conventions applied. Our method page publishes our test results, including failures.
  • Cite, don’t invent. Classical quotations are copied from public-domain texts and linked to the original; our build checks every quote against the downloaded source text. We translate them ourselves and say so.
  • No predictions. Bazi is presented as a traditional cultural system for study and entertainment. We do not claim it predicts events or determines character, and nothing here is advice.
  • Private by design. Charts are calculated in your browser. Your birth data is not sent to us. See the privacy policy.
